Michael Shulan lives in a converted chicken house in West Cornwell, Connecticut. He is seen here sitting in a 1920s dentist’s chair, and I took the picture while photography the house for The World of Interiors. Michael is an artist and mechanic; he writes and speaks perfect English, and can rebuild a washing machine.
